Hello babes! Happy Thursday, hope everyone has survived Mercury Retrograde & Eclipse season so far! Personally, I have been having miscommunications & misunderstandings left and right and am exhausted hahaha. But thankfully my tech has been secure so far (hoping to not jinx myself with this post). So, I figured it is time to share the wealth of knowledge on how to use tech to make your witchy life easier!

Now if you are a techie person and interested in witchcraft, you can combine the two for your practice! Head over to my Digital Witchcraft post to learn more ways to work with this type of craft. Anywho, as an eclectic witch I like to find ways to incorporate all things into my practice and I have always been a big fan of technology and how potent it's reach can be. Now when Mercury Retrograde is in effect it's a great time to lean on this type of magic to help keep your tech from going wonky when you need it to go right!
So as stated above, witchcraft and tech are actually fast friends. With how advanced our technology is there is so much that you can do with different avenues of witchcraft to better & protect your technology. Here are a few of my go to moves for protecting tech during trying times like Mercury Retrograde:
Create a sigil: Sigils are intention made glyphs you make to serve a purpose long term. They range anywhere from glamor to protection, each individual to the maker and the use they have in mind. You can create a sigil that represents the intention of protecting your tech. This can be done using a specific symbol or design that you create and can be drawn or carved onto your tech or used in a digital form as a screensaver or wallpaper. You can even go as far as making it a watermark and use it in your footer or header for important documents. The possibilities are endless.
Cast a protective spell: You can cast a spell that is specifically designed to protect your tech from harm. This can involve setting up a protective barrier around your tech, visualizing a shield of energy around it, or calling on the help of protective spirits or deities.
Use crystals: Crystals such as black tourmaline, amethyst, smoky and clear quartz are believed to have protective properties and can be used to protect your tech. You can place a crystal near your tech or carry it with you to help ward off negative energy. I also am a firm believer in a Selenite bowl or charging plate to clear the phone when you are not using it. There are also stick on crystals like Shungite that allegedly absorbs electromagnetic radiation from tech. I personally am a believer in them and have one on my phone and iPad.
Invoke a protective deity: You can call on the help of a protective deity such as Hekate, Athena, Archangel Michael, or whomever calls to you to help protect your tech. This can be done through prayer, visualization, or setting up an altar dedicated to the deity. If you want to take it up another level ask them to set a "firewall" sign, like a number or animal, to show up to let you know if anyone/thing tried to mess with your tech.
Set up wards: You can set up magical wards around your tech to protect it from negative energy and unwanted intrusions. This can involve creating a protective circle, using protective oils or herbs, or placing talismans or amulets near your tech.
Curious about trying a simple tech protection spell? Keep scrolling and see below!

Materials:
A black candle
A small piece of paper
A pen
Protective herbs (such as sage, rosemary, or lavender)
Steps:
Begin by cleansing your space with the protective herbs. You can light an incense or protective herbs and smudge the area around your tech, or sprinkle the herbs around your tech.
Light the black candle and place it near your tech.
Take the piece of paper and write the following on it: "I protect my tech from harm and negative energy."
Hold the paper over the candle flame and say the following words: "By the power of fire, I charge this paper to protect my tech from harm. May the energy of this flame infuse this paper with protection and light."
Place the paper near your tech, and let the candle burn down completely.
When the candle has burned down, take the paper and place it somewhere safe near your tech, such as inside your computer case or in a protective pouch.
You can repeat this spell as often as you like to maintain the protective energy around your tech.
Remember, this is just an example, and you can adapt this spell to fit your specific needs and preferences. You can also add other elements such as crystals, sigils, or invocations of protective deities to make the spell more powerful. Use your imagination & intuition. Funny enough, they tend to go hand in hand. Also aim to do it on a Tuesday if you want to really hone in the most potent energy.
Stay safe out there my friends!
Until next time,
xoxo
