Welcome to a new series!! With March not only being my birth month but also International Woman's Month, I thought it was about damn time we gave our Goddesses some love, especially in a world and country that is trying so hard to make sure we women "know our place". Goddesses have been admired throughout history, symbolizing powerful aspects of femininity, wisdom, and support. They are not just characters from ancient myths; they represent vibrant energies and archetypes that can positively shape our lives. By understanding these divine forces, we can connect deeply with our own spiritual essence.
This series will explore the significance of connecting with goddesses, how they appear in our lives, and practical ways to engage with them. Whether you are just starting or have been on this journey for a while, you’ll discover insights to enhance your spiritual path.

Exploring the Benefits of Working with Goddesses
The Power of Archetypes
Goddesses serve as archetypes that resonate with different aspects of human experience. They can embody love, wisdom, creativity, and more, which means when we connect with them, we can enhance specific areas of our lives. For example, Hecate, the Greek Titan Goddess of witchcraft, crossroads, and the unseen, represents intuition, transformation, and the power of choice. Working with her enhances our ability to trust our inner wisdom, embrace change, and navigate life's transitions with confidence and protection.
Signs That a Goddess Is Reaching Out
Have you ever felt a spark of connection to a particular goddess? Seen a picture, heard a myth, or randomly seen them appear on a reel when doom-scrolling social media and thought wow how cool? That would be a sign you are getting a call from that Goddess. Here are a few signs that a goddess may be calling to you:
Recurring symbols: Frequently seeing items linked to a specific goddess, such as a dove for Aphrodite, might indicate her presence.
Emotional responses: Stories or images related to a goddess can evoke strong emotions. If a tale of Kuan Yin, the goddess of compassion, brings you to tears, it could be a sign of her influence in your life.
Dreams: If you have vivid dreams about a specific goddess or her symbols, it can symbolize her calling.
Engaging with these signs can deepen your understanding of yourself and enhance your spiritual journey. When you get these little signs its a good indicator to explore more about that Goddess! It could be as simple as googling or just writing down the feelings you get to acknowledge the connection.
Unique Features of Individual Goddesses
Who They Are: Myth, Energy, Archetype
Goddesses come from various cultures, each with unique stories and energies. For instance, Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, embodies abundance and prosperity, making her a powerful figure to invoke when seeking material success or stability. On the other hand, Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, can offer guidance in complex decision-making situations.
Each goddess brings her own energy to your life. Engaging with them can provide fresh perspectives and empower your daily activities, whether you’re pursuing personal development or facing everyday challenges. There are Goddesses in all religions, and even if you are not active in a religion and more so connected to the Earth, there are goddesses that you can connect to! Elements have goddesses that are connected to them so there is a powerful representative of all factors of life.
Signs They’re Reaching Out
As we previously discussed, a goddess can signal her presence through various signs. You might notice synchronicities, like receiving a book about Frigg, the Norse goddess of love and protection, when you are experiencing difficulties in your relationships. These moments often happen during pivotal life changes and can act as guidance. Follow the signs, usually you will get several if you miss the first one.
Practical Ways to Work with Goddesses
Offerings

Making offerings is a common way to show respect to goddesses. You can offer items that resonate with their energies. For example, presenting a bowl of fresh fruit might honor Demeter, the Greek goddess of harvest and abundance. Similarly, lighting a green candle can invoke Eir, the Norse goddess of healing. Each goddess, like a woman, has their own preferences, likes and dislikes. Offerings also can range widely! You don't have to spend money to do an offering. A pretty leaf, feather or picture is just as good as fruit, food and wine!
Rituals
Rituals are effective in creating sacred spaces to foster your connection with a goddess. For instance, you could set up a simple ritual by lighting a candle, meditating, or arranging an altar with meaningful items related to the goddess. This act can provide focus and strengthen your bond. I work with a lot of Moon & season-focused deities, so my rituals revolve around those things. A new abundance bowl at the New Moon, a Full Moon Bath, collecting items of the season and making art with it, whatever feels natural to you can turn into a ritual to deepen the connection with whichever Goddess you would like to work with.
Meditations
Meditation is a powerful practice for connecting with goddesses. You can visualize a goddess during meditation, inviting her energy to flow into different aspects of your life. This can facilitate grounding, promote healing, or offer clarity on pressing issues. If you want to try tapping into your different gifts and energy work, try seeing if the goddess can help you in a particular way and see how they show up. It is always fun to see how their energy finds a way to show up.
Transforming Your Life with Goddess Energy
Working with goddesses can introduce many benefits into your life, such as:
Empowerment: Aligning with a goddess amplifies your self-confidence and helps you embrace your intrinsic strength. Research shows that individuals who cultivate a spiritual practice often report a 30 percent increase in self-esteem over time. Aligning your energy with theirs on a daily basis makes it natural to step into your own power every day as well.
Guidance: Goddesses can provide valuable insights and wisdom, guiding you through challenges. Many people find that tapping into this divine energy offsets stress, with over 70 percent reporting less anxiety and clearer decision-making. It takes some of the unnecessary societal pressure when you have a badass deity protecting and backing up your energy.
Self-Discovery: Exploring the qualities of various goddesses can reveal profound insights about yourself and your personal journey. This exploration often leads to a sense of fulfillment and deeper purpose. It can help unlock your divine feminine and help you learn what is worth fighting for and what you need to stand down on. It also shows where your divine masculine needs to be checked.
Embracing Your Spiritual Path
My journey with goddesses started young and has evolved. I was attached to all the Greek and Egyptian mythology young and over time it has deepened and expanded into much more. As I have tapped more into the magic of it all, I discovered that each Goddess that I had always admired, and found strong, and mysterious has more layers than I even imagined. I have been able to learn that being soft is as strong as being fierce and that knowing your worth will get you exactly where you need to go. I learned boundaries and self-worth and found my power after a long time of self-sacrificing in the name of making everyone else around me more comfortable at the expense of my own. The biggest thing I learned is that no matter what, you can be exactly who you want to be and the right people will always find you magical and in the right place.
Working with goddesses can be a deeply enriching experience. By recognizing their signs and understanding their archetypal energies, you empower yourself to walk alongside these divine figures. Embrace their wisdom, explore their archetypes, and invite their energies into your life to unlock your true potential.
Remember, each person’s journey is unique. Trust your intuition as you explore the world of goddesses, welcoming the transformations they bring. Whether through offerings, meditations, or rituals, engage with these incredible figures in a way that feels right for you. The rest of this series will be about different Goddesses, a little about their mythology, and signs they are reaching out to work with you. We will be starting off with Athena first!
Until next time,
xoxo
